LES NOUVEAUX BALLETS DU NORD-PAS DE CALAIS, France DADAAA – duo version

Annotation

Dada has neither a tail, nor a head. Dada glues, sticks and mixes… Dada is making jokes. And who is the perfect fit for Dada if not the kids?

A puppeteer dancer and a contratenor singer take us into an imaginary world, a plastic universe in Dada’s style. Breaking the strict rules and the ideological battles from the beginning of the 20th century, Dada shows the imagination of many artists with its artistic language freedom and ignorance. For the young audience Amélie Poirier creates Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s Dada puppets in different sizes. They show up during the sound performance inspired by Dada’s poetry where speech is more important than the meaning.
